Belvedere Heights has an immediate vacancy for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator. The successful candidate will have advanced to expert level knowledge in full cycle payroll and administering a pension plan. Experience interpreting Employment Standards and collective agreements is an asset.
Major Job Responsibilities:
-Processing regular biweekly payroll and special payruns for approximately 140 employees using an electronic payroll system (GoldCare)
-Calculating retroactivity pay, maternity / parental top-ups, and pension adjustments
-Balancing GL accounts and remitting deductions
-Reconciling payroll accounts at year end
-Completing T4s and submitting T4 summaries
-Enrolling employees in OMERS, reporting leave periods, and completing e143 and e119 reporting
-Enrolling employees in our group benefit plan
-Maintaining employee payroll information
-Completing and electronically submitting records of employment
-Maintaining staff seniority lists
-Providing financials for WSIB and other reporting (e.g. MIS, Staffing Report, Salary Disclosure, Job Vacancy and Wage Surveys)
-Maintaining up-to-date payroll policies and procedures based on Employment Standards and Collective Agreements
