You have a proven track record in designing, implementing, managing and documenting on-premises and/or cloud-based IT solutions. You have strong troubleshooting abilities and communicate effectively with people of all technical levels.
Design, install, maintain and support our clients’ IT systems
Determine clients’ IT requirements and design appropriate on-premises and/or cloud-based solutions
Audit, assess and document clients’ IT infrastructure, processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
Manage and execute IT infrastructure projects
Provide remote and on-site support for clients’ IT systems
Mentor technical staff and provide escalation support for help desk
Design, configure, deploy, monitor and manage server infrastructure and associated systems
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and scripts
Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions
Perform daily support operations to server infrastructure across many clients
Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
MCSE, MCSA or MCITP Certification
10 plus years in a senior technical support or consulting role
Expert level knowledge of deploying, managing and troubleshooting the following technologies
Microsoft Windows server operating systems and core technologies
Domains and Active Directory
Remote Desktop Services/VDI
Virtualization technologies – Hyper-V, VMware
Microsoft Office 365 suite of technologies
Backup/disaster recovery solutions
Networking equipment and protocols - switches and firewalls, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN
Server hardware install and configuration
Experience with the following would be an asset
Veeam backup and disaster recovery products
