Permanent Part Time
Location: Labrador City, NL
Reporting to the Regional Director of Inter-Professional Practice, the primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the staff of the Inter-professional Practice Department and in accordance with the Labrador-Grenfell Health Model of Nursing Clinical Practice.
" Graduation from high school supplemented by the successful completion of a two-year Secretarial Science or Office Administration diploma;
" Completion of an approved medical terminology course or willingness to complete;
" Demonstrated experience and ability in word processing and other Microsoft software (demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft word, Power Point, Excel, Internet and Email);
" Demonstrated proficiency in general office practices and procedures, organizational and communication skills;
" Ability to work independently;
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct;
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
" Prepares, types and creates various letters, memos and spreadsheets;
" Types reports, policy manuals, correspondence and committee reports/minutes, etc;
" Answers telephone, files, prepares, send and receive mail, photocopies and send faxes;
" Arranges teleconferences, meetings, etc.;
" Compiles program statistics and monthly statistics as required;
" Prepares and distributes monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required;
" Obtains/orders supplies through Materials Management;
" Performs other related duties.
" CG-26 of the Nape-HS Collective Agreement, $22.67 - $25.10 per hour plus the applicable
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, variable shifts (37.5 hours bi-weekly).
