CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy Division. We are looking for a Crude Oil Logistics Specialist to schedule crude oil movements on various pipelines including the CHS Front Range Pipeline. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, detail focused, able to execute accurate calculations and accounting for crude oil movements, inventories and deliveries.

You Will:
Develop, manage and maintain crude oil delivery schedules with connecting pipelines for delivery to the CHS refinery in Laurel, Montana.
Schedule crude oil receipts from connecting pipelines (Enbridge, Express, Bow River and ExxonMobil Silver Tip) into the Front Range Pipeline system at various delivery points and subsequent scheduling of batches on Front Range Pipeline for final delivery to the Laurel Refinery.
Maintain and report supply/demand balances for all crude oil shipments to the CHS refinery in Laurel, Montana including tank balances for the CHS leased tankage in Hardisty, Alberta.
Work with the CHS McPherson refinery crude supply team to coordinate crude oil movements on the Keystone and Platte pipeline systems.
Coordinate with the Front Range Pipeline schedulers to integrate the trucked delivery of CHS lease crude purchases into the overall crude oil delivery schedule.
Track all applicable pipeline tariffs and provide updated tariff information to the refinery economists on a regular basis.
Communicate frequently with internal partners within the CHS crude supply team, CHS refinery personnel and the CHS pipeline group.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with CHS crude oil suppliers, third party pipeline companies and refinery trade partners.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with CHS accounting staff to resolve volumetric and pricing discrepancies as required.
Support a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Provide continuous improvement advice related to internal work processes to help improve work efficiencies and improve CHS’s overall profitability. Basic Qualifications: (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other business degree related program.
5 to 7 years of energy industry experience
Knowledge of Canadian crude oil markets and pipeline logistics.
Experience calculating crude oil volumes.
Proficient with algebraic calculations.
Proficient with MS Excel. Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Familiar with Allegro software. .
