What You’ll Be Doing
Our Oakville office is growing, and we’re in search of our newest Technical Sales Manager to develop significant new accounts across Canada and the American mid-west.
Your role will be to build and execute an outbound sales strategy to identify new potential customers and their needs, while building deep relationships across the industry. Success this role will require someone who is a hunter to the core; someone who loves the thrill of landing new accounts and is unwavering in their pursuit of new business.
Clients will trust your sound technical knowledge, understanding of industry trends, and solution-oriented mindset.
Practically speaking, you will:
Business development of the successful launch and acceptable performance of system solutions
Identify revenue opportunities within assigned and targeted accounts through communications and other activities as needed, collaborating with marketing
Follow up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers
Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
Making presentations to OEMs, users, suppliers, etc.
Account plan preparation and management
Management of opportunity funnel, forecasts, and commitments

Here’s what your compensation will include:
A great starting salary, between $140,000 and $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience

What Makes You an Ideal Candidate
Post-secondary degree in engineering, or related technical field
Experience in a technical sales or account management role
Technical knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing execution systems
Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and business application systems and terminology
Experience managing a sales territory
Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM system
Strong computer skills including MS Office (Outlook and PowerPoint) and MS Project
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness/ability to travel up to 50% of your time
