About the opportunity
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, the TA/Generalist Assistant will provide exceptional customer service as the administrative support for the CPA Canada’s Talent Acquisition Team and the broader People and Culture Group. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate, has an outstanding work ethic and a positive attitude to support our team. This opportunity is an excellent role for an aspiring talent acquisition professional with an HR background to develop their career in recruitment. You will also have a chance to gain broad exposure by providing administrative support to the CPA Canada's People and Culture Department by facilitating a range of unique projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will:
Assist Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers through the talent acquisition life cycle from an administrative perspective for assigned client groups.
This work could include but is not limited to:
posting jobs, screening candidates, arranging interviews, facilitating reference and background checks, preparing offer letters and new hire packages, and creating or filing employee files
Help Talent Acquisition team to plan, organize and facilitate recruitment efforts from start to finish for a given mandate
Participate in special projects and events as required, and support the development of various recruitment materials, including those needed for hiring events or campus recruitment
Remain current on systems applications, policies and procedures, and ongoing People and Culture and Talent Acquisition projects
Provide ongoing status updates to talent acquisition team members as required
Act as an ambassador for the talent acquisition team while promoting CPA Canada as a great place to work
Perform other related recruitment or People and Culture duties as required
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Post Secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
Preference for candidates with a CHRP or working towards the CHRL
1+ years experience related to recruiting or human resources is required
Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels
Strong attention to detail and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
High energy, dynamic individual with a sense of urgency
Strong computer skills (all Microsoft Office products)
