Position Overview:
Located in our Montreal offices, the National Sales Director's main objective is to increase sales and revenue across both banners (Garage and Dynamite). The National Sales Director is also responsible for managing a team of 7 Regional Sales Directors located across Canada and the US. The incumbent will work together with the senior management team on creating and implementing sales plans, developing the customer service culture in our stores as well as supporting the 0mni-channel strategy.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Sales Operations & RPI, the National Sales Director’s main responsibilities are as follows:
Develops annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives;
Directs implementation and execution of sales initiatives, policies and practices;
Drives sales in the retail (B&M) channel with suggested promotional activity/advertising plans;
Builds, develops and manages sales teams capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives;
Ensures effective use of available resources for the achievement of the business strategy and realization of the sales plan;
Participates in the implementation of best management practices and training programs (performance management, recruitment, remuneration, workforce planning, succession planning, etc.);
Ensures identification and exploitation of new business opportunities;
Interacts regularly with key internal departments such as Marketing, Merchandising and Design, Sourcing and Forecasting, Customer Service, Finance, Production and Planning;
Prepares monthly and annual budgets and projections in line with our corporate objectives;
Together with the retail management team creates a retail sales and customer service strategy focused on growing sales and brand recognition;
Follows up on sales and wage cost and provides detailed reports to senior management;
Works closely with other departments in order to maximize the synergy between business units;
Together with the retail management team recruits, trains, coaches and motivates Store Managers and their teams;
Provides constant feedback to the senior management team on opportunities for improvement and on issues that the company may face;
Promotes a culture of learning and continuous improvement within his or her teams;
Cultivates collaboration within a large geographic area by focusing on customer satisfaction and improving customer experience.;

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any other related field;
At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role in the retail sector;
Perfectly bilingual in French and EnglishEnglish and in French, written and spoken;
In-depth knowledge of retail;
Ability to manage teams remotely;
Ability to build a sales and customer service culture;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
Strong ability to analyze reports;
Adaptability in an ever-changing, fast- paced environment;
Ability to work under pressure and strong tolerance for ambiguity and complexity;
Analytical mindset;
Previous experience in the fashion retail industry will be considered an asset.
