Job Opportunity

D-TECK, a fast-growing company with offices in Toronto and Montreal. We are growing our team in Toronto and are seeking a Inside Sales Representative that is passionate about new technology and driven by opportunities to help develop unique, innovative solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Sales in Toronto, the successful candidate will contribute to maintain D-TECK's strong growth by supporting team members in their sales efforts. He or she will be responsible to arouse interest and have a relevant conversation with senior decision-makers and to schedule appointments with qualified prospects.

Our work environment is very collaborative, with our Montreal office set up in a loft. We also have a flexi-work policy that allows employees to customize arrival and departure times at work, and to work from home. When at the loft, the expected dress code is casual wear.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calling on B2B decision makers, and executives, to schedule appointments with prospects
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about product options.
  • Respond in a professional and friendly manner and skillfully counter objections.
  • Record customer information by obtaining and entering required data into a CRM system
  • Confirm appointments a day before meetings and reschedule meetings if necessary
  • Hand over scheduled leads to our outside sales team for closing
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to establish and meet sales and marketing goals.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
  • Keep up to date on the products offered in order to be able to respond to product inquiries.
  • Ability to travel in North America (1 to 4 trips per year for global team meetings and shows)

Experience and Skills

  • Relevant academic background - A college diploma or more (sales, marketing, consulting, communication, HR, psychology, or relevant field).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in telemarketing/appointment setting in a B2B environment
  • 2+ years of customer service
  • Proven track record of successful cold calling and telemarketing
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Telephone etiquette
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English are required
  • Ability to spend long hours on the phone maintaining 80-100 calls per day
  • Ability to generate leads and book appointments for our Sales team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
