This position is responsible for the sanitation of the Wet and Dry Packaging rooms, including all the equipment used in the production of cheese.
$18.50/ hour

Shift: 5:30pm - 2am

  • Attend scheduled shift regularly and punctually ready to fulfil all duties required
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • Comply with all Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. policies and procedures
  • Comply with all Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P Health and Safety and Food Safety
and Quality regulations
  • Report immediately to Supervisor any/all food safety and quality issues identified
  • Wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Rinse, wash, and sanitize all equipment and utensils used daily in Wet Packaging
  • Sweep and mop floors, wash doors and sink in Dry Packaging
  • Rinse and foam the production cooler and feta cooler weekly
  • Clean out Dixie vacuum machines weekly
  • Clean each of the labellers weekly
  • Foam down the walls and floor in Wet Packaging weekly
  • Dispose of garbage from Wet and Dry Packaging
  • Wash and sanitize spice bins weekly
  • Complete all HACCP/SQF documentation and maintain accurately
  • Report any broken equipment to Supervisor/Coordinators
  • Participate in daily mandatory stretching program
  • Adhere to good hand washing practices to ensure food safety
  • Take a sense of pride in work
  • Food/dairy/sanitation/manufacturing experience an asset
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communicational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • Team player, but also has the ability to work independently
  • Motivated individual who always thinks in a positive proactive manner
  • Acceptable criminal reference check is required
Working Conditions:
  • Cool environment
  • Damp/Wet
  • Varying temperatures on department floor (18-24°C); Temperature in cooler is
approximately 7°C
  • Working with and around chemicals (PPE provided)
  • Pace can range from moderate to busy depending on demands
  • Overtime – periodically mandatory Saturdays
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting equipment (from 5-20 lbs)
  • Bending/twisting/reaching
  • Pulling skids of cheese (from 50-658 lbs)
  • Alert and aware at all times
  • Standing on feet for extended periods of time
