Reports into the Strategy Execution function. The Senior Manager EPMO is responsible for helping steward the development and implementation of effective PPM Planning processes to enable effective execution of Purolator’s strategic objectives. The role encompasses three key dimensions: establishment of EPMO governance processes at all levels in the organization; implementation of effective portfolio, program, and project execution processes; and building organization skills and capabilities necessary for strategy execution.

Responsibilities

Support the development and sustainability of Portfolio Project Management Methodology and Governance
Improve overall PPM maturity across the organization; track and report the adherence to plans and expectations across initiatives
Implement effective EPMO governance processes, drive clear intake and prioritization processes, and develop superior program / project management processes
Build organization capabilities through the development of effective processes, tools and training material related to strategy execution
Implement performance management and project portfolio reporting process for various stakeholder groups (Board, Management Committee, Portfolio Steering Teams, project teams)
Responsible for administration and evolution of functionality of a new Enterprise level Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) application/tool – Service Now
Ownership of the Purolator Project Scorecard process that support our Performance Management process
Develop tools to support Resource management and lead overall resource planning efforts
Support development and adoption of the Project/Program Management Methodology, Governance, and develop supporting artifacts to support these processes
Act as the PPM Tool administrator to maintain/develop roadmaps, project pipeline, dashboards
Maintain EPMO Sharepoint and all supporting Project management artifacts and collateral

Experience

University degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related discipline
8+ years within project/program/portfolio management areas, specific but not limited to: Reporting for C level and Board members, Dashboards at program and function level, hands on experience on project artifacts, framework, different types of projects - IT, Business (Operations, Marketing, HR, Learning & development) etc.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with project & portfolio management tools, ServiceNow (PPM) experience preferred
Knowledge of PMBOK and PMI supported processes and maturity model – portfolio governance; opportunity assessment and initiation; performance management; resource management
Strong project governance, project stage gating, project audit knowledge and experience
Well versed with project frameworks like Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative.
Thorough knowledge of Project Cost planning and templates involved for capturing, maintaining and reporting project financials (budget)
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
Proven self-starter with sound judgment and decision making ability with evidence of innovative, critical and logical thinking
Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills to build strong relationships, gain credibility and network effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting demands
Experience within the courier/transportation industry is considered an asset
