The Learning Specialist will develop, design and deliver engaging global learning programs and initiatives across the organization while continually assessing the learning programs and looking at ways to improve processes and standards.
Develop, design and deliver learning initiatives (both in class and online) for a global audience
Perform learning needs analysis, provide consultative advice and expertise to business units
Develop, implement and recommend learning strategies
Design and develop metrics around learning solutions
Maintain/update content and design of assigned learning programs
Work as a member of the Talent team to assist with team initiatives
Contribute in continually improving team’s processes and standards
Familiar with human resources principles in the areas of: learning, performance management and leadership programs
Knowledge of eLearning development concepts, principles and methodologies
Strong ability to clearly articulate internal customer needs and how they arrived at the recommended solution, including all relevant solution-based processes, tools and product recommendations.
Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation/facilitation skills; previous live training or presentation experience required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including writing, listening, speaking, and facilitating
Develop project communication and feedback systems
Hold project teams accountabilities to standardized work process, procedures, tools, and templates to ensure the success of the project team and consistency of training developed
Experience in adult learning principles; designing and delivering training
Knowledge of experiential learning design methods is an asset
Experience in developing programs that develop soft, hard, technical and knowledge based skills
Extremely organized to handle high workload in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Ability to think outside of the traditional “training box”
Understanding of and identification with the G Adventures’ Core Values
Ability to be creative and take initiative through the design and development of industry-leading learning solutions including ILT, workshops, conferences, e-Learning, videos, podcasts and job aids.
Working towards developing real life strength and experience in the areas they are developing content in.
Strong attention to detail, prioritization and organizational skills to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Highly motivated and results driven, with high energy, resilience, and leadership presence
Knowledge and experience in the wider spectrum of learning interventions (e.g. informal and collaborative learning)
Experience working as part of a traditional HR or Talent Development team
Passion for learning and helping people reach their full potential
Desire to work in an engaging and fun work environment!
3+ years experience in a learning team
2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams
CTP or CTDP Designation is an asset
