We currently have a day shift opening for a Maintenance Planner, reporting to the Maintenance Cluster Leader. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, directing, leading, and facilitating total productive maintenance and continuous improvement activities throughout the Organization. Will participate in operational planning to maximize company profits and will be the lead person responsible for implementing Total Productive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement processes. Work with management and fellow colleagues to eliminate waste, drive performance, and continuously improve your Line's safety, quality, service, and cost. You will also be responsible for applying Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) methodology to your specific area, and Scarborough Bakery as a whole, in order to drive performance and long term growth.
Works in manufacturing environment with varying levels of noise and temperatures and with requirement to wear company mandated uniform and safety equipment such as safety shoes, ear plugs, hair net and lab coat.
Promote the inflow of notifications from the floor.
Execute daily PMI in assign equipment and enter notifications based on findings.
Convert efficiently notifications to planned Work orders.
Maintain database in terms of complete and correct BOMs, PMs, work instructions and asset histories.
Participate in weekly meetings with MRO to update the status of work in process.
Participate in weekly meetings with the scheduler to define and prioritize the ready backlog and create the tentative weekly schedule.
The job is not sedentary; it involves frequent on-site visits and communicating with diverse elements for the effective planning of work.
Participate in day to day activity on the area assign to inspect (PMI) collect information, entering notifications, planning actions.
Prioritizes assigned daily work including work orders, preventive maintenance and emergencies to maintain acceptable levels of operation in the area of responsibility.
Organize to collects data of the findings using Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound, and vibration technology.
Organize analysis inspections and create technical reports for both mechanical and electrical components.
Work in a safe competent manner, following rules and procedures as required as outlined in the Plant Safety Handbook. Report any unsafe condition to Line Lead. Have working knowledge of various safety programs as per the New Hire Orientation.
Housekeeping & Sanitation
Keep work area neat and tidy at all times. Personal hygiene, clean uniforms and hair nets are mandatory in a food environment.
5 years recent Maintenance experience
Proficiency in MRO Purchasing & Requisitioning
Proficiency in SAP PM/MM;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
Proficiency in Planning and Scheduling
Industrial Mechanic and/or Industrial Electrician license
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority is required
Demonstrated ability to lead and provide direction to teams is required
