  • Must have at least 3+ years legal experience in residential real estate transactions
  • Must have knowledge of Teraview, Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge in PCLaw and Conveyancer
  • Ability to draft routine closing documents, order title and off-title searches, prepare closing books and all other administrative tasks related to residential lending transactions
  • Requesting discharge statements for existing mortgages that are to be discharged on closing, as well as requesting tax certificates and confirmation of insurance
  • Communicate efficiently with legal assistants, clients, other lawyers, mortgage brokers, mortgage agents and trust companies and other financial institutions on file progress
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required
  • Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases
