INSTRUCTOR - HEALTH CARE AIDE CAREERS - MAYERTHORPE

HEALTH & COMMUNITY STUDIES

If so, consider joining the NorQuest College team as a Health Care Aide Instructor. In this contract position, you will provide high school students with the knowledge and skills needed for employment in continuing care and home settings. As an integral part of our division, you will facilitate and evaluate student learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.

HEALTH CARE AIDE REGIONAL SITES

These are casual opportunities which will begin in September 2019 and run until August 2020 in the MAYERTHORPE Region. The successful candidates will be required to work approximately 300 total hours during weekday afternoons for theory and lab instruction, and full days Monday to Friday for 200 hours of clinical practicum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with NorQuest College lead instructor to ensure the integrity of the NorQuest College Health Care Aide program is maintained.
Communicate any concerns/issues with Program Chair, and Associate Chair, Health Care Aide.
Maintain detailed records of the materials shipped.
Maintain appropriate student and program records as per NorQuest College policies and procedures.
Carry out other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
RN or RPN.
LPN with at least one year toward a BSN or a related degree.
Current CARNA/CRPNA/CLPNA registration required.
Excellent technical skills.
Excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
Successful candidates for these positions are required to provide the following:
A Police Information Check within the last ninety days
A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last ninety days
Up to date immunization records
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience. This opportunity also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
