ABOUT OUR OPERATION

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the General Supervisor, the Reliability Specialist is part of the Maintenance mobile equipment department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. The Specialist will be the centerpiece of our reliability strategic plan implementation by acting in change management and coaching. He will act as a technical reference and as a vigil of maintenance best practices application and equipment health. She/He will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Responsilities

Ensure the consistent application of Maintenance processes in the department and with stakeholders,

Provide a technical support to production, maintenance, management and technical personnel;

Manage the oil sampling program & follow up

Develop a plan to eliminated or reduce the losses through root cause analysis on our mobile equipment fleet (Sandvik, CAT, Maclean, Volvo)

Lead and implement continuous improvement initiative related to safety, productivity, reliability & cost

Manage in collaboration with OEM the technical meetings for equipment improvements.

Define & continuously improve maintenance strategy and plan.

Participate to the integration of new technology like automation or telemetry

Participate in the budget and the life of mine (LOM) process

Ensure the safest, most efficient and reliable maintenance performance;

Forecast the critical spare parts inventory needs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Mechanical engineering technology degree, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;

5+ years of experience in the reliability field, in a similar role

Experience in reengineering or process definition, mapping and measuring existing processes as well as analyzing, modifying, designing and implementing new processes;

Ability to define and lead project-based workshops;

Mining experience is an asset;

Experience with continuous improvement tools and philosophy will be considered an asset.

Automation / telemetry implementation experience is an asset.

Experience working in a multicultural environment;

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;

Strong problem solving skills, autonomy, initiative and organization are key.

Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio;

Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).
