The Human Resources Analyst is responsible for reporting and analyzing data to support business decisions, supporting various compensation and benefits programs and responding to inquiries related to benefits programs.
The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.
Gathers, reviews, analyzes and reports on data to support the management of compensation and benefits programs, including commentary on gaps and recommended actions.
Compiles and analyzes market survey data.
Supports management of the annual compensation review cycle.
Responds to inquiries related to employee and retiree benefits, including issues escalated from benefits provider.
Support the management of various benefits programs.
Tests and implements systems enhancements and ongoing updates for the compensation and employee benefits sections of the SuccessFactors Human Resources system, in partnership with technical teams. Supports systems data management including job evaluation data.
Supports budgeting, reporting and forecasting for compensation, benefits and/or divisional operating expense budgets.
Works collaboratively with the team to deliver quality solutions to meet or exceed business goals.
Continually strives to improve existing benefits processes with attention to program management details, data accuracy and productivity.
May conduct analysis and research, including best practices review and recommendations for enhancements.
Undergraduate/ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Science or Mathematics, Social Sciences or related discipline.
One (1) to three (3) years of progressive Human Resources or data analytics experience.
Working towards CHRP/CHRL (Certified Human Resources Professional or Certified Human Resources Leader) considered an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources programs, systems and processes with a good understanding of compensation and/or benefits programs.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word & PowerPoint), especially Microsoft Excel. Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
Experience preparing reports, and succinctly summarizing data and messaging. Experience building and automating reports, using statistical methodologies, building models and/or performing calculations with large amounts of data considered an asset.
