NeuroRx, a leader in advanced brain image analysis and project management servicing the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, is looking for a skilled magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Technical Expert to provide technical support and assistance in implementing research MRI protocols to MRI facilities and clinical sites involved in clinical trials in neurology, phases 1 through 4.

The role: As an MRI Technical Expert, you would be part of a team involved in supervising the implementation of research study protocols at sites around the world and training MRI facility personnel on details of image acquisition and data handling in the context of clinical trials. The training is done by telephone from our Montreal office (no travel required). The successful candidate would work internally with Project Managers to coordinate prompt and effective MRI site activation, and would resolve technical issues regarding subject scans received during the trial. The successful candidate would also be a resource/contact for MRI facilities, Clinical Sites and Project team members at the Pharmaceutical Companies, and provide answers and support throughout the trial. Full time training (on a regular schedule) and mentorship will be provided.

The job offers a regular working schedule (Monday to Friday) with no work on weekends or holidays.

Requirements:

Education: The ideal candidate would have a Master’s degree (MSc, Meng or equivalent) in a field linked to MRI and experience with neuroimaging. Applications without this prerequisite will not be considered. Training outside Canada is acceptable, but the candidate must hold a valid permit to work in Canada.

Language: Fluent English is necessary. The ability to speak other languages would be an asset.

Technical skills: The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience with MRI scanners and would have participated in the creation of a research brain MRI protocol. Experience with multiple scanner manufacturers (eg GE, Siemens, Philips), as well as a knowledge of Linux and MRI data processing and analysis software would be an asset.
