Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator this position will supervise and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all users.

Responsible for safe and orderly loading and unloading of surface lifts
Assist with opening and closing the surface lifts including set up and take down of lift corrals and deceleration mats
Review of ramp areas of lifts, towlines, signage and ramps to approved standards
Supervise participants and maintain complete vigilance to minimize risks, and be ready to respond at all times
Ensure a safe and controlled dispatch of tubers
Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the lift operations manual
Assist with checking participants are equipped with all mandatory equipment
Inform immediate supervisor of any unusual or improper occurrences within the operation of the assigned conveyor, or change in weather or ground conditions that may affect guests’ safety
Ensure that lift tickets and season passes are valid
Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (i.e. log sheets, payroll, incident/accident reports)
Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
Provide excellent customer service including explaining how to use the slopes safely
Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
Attend meetings/training as required
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum 16 years of age
Ability to work under adverse winter weather conditions
Able to handle physical demands of the job
Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.)
Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Job status: Part-time

Hourly rate: $14.45
