** This is a 1 year contract**
Accountability for connectivity and collaboration between the Evolution Project Team and Professional Development as it develops and maintains a comprehensive curriculum and learning path for SLFD impacted groups, with particular focus on Advisors, Managers and field support roles.
The incumbent in this role will lead the aggregation and communication of feedback and input into needs analysis to understand, define and validate key learning objectives, curriculum design and measures aligned with outcomes and business priority. Course materials can be in various formats (online, virtual, video, small group, facilitated, leader-led, etc.). The incumbent will also engage the Evolution Project Team Expertise Areas (Change Management, Marketing Communication and Project Management) and impacted stakeholders to support needs assessment, curriculum and content development and learning measurement.
What will you do?
Act as single point of contact between the Evolution Project Team and PD for input into training requirements, development, implementation, and measurement across all Evolution themes,
Create an integrated Training Plan view of Professional Development activities as parts of Change Management and Project plans to ensure appropriate phasing for learning effectiveness and business attendance manageability
In partnership with content design, training delivery and other stakeholders, provide input into optimal delivery methods to achieve desired learning outcomes
Contributes to selection of business relevant measures of learning effectiveness (collaboratively), helps monitors results and proactively adjusting content and path as needed
Engages and partners with specialists from across Professional Development, SME’s, external vendors, and the Evolution Project Team to ensure curriculum content / learning path is maintained
Support Change Management Theme Leads in integrating capability-building activities into their project plans
Communicate capability-building risks identified by change leads to Professional Development and support the development of mitigating actions
Coach Change Management Theme Leads on how to support IOs to reinforce capability program content and delivery
Participate in people readiness activities to ensure preparedness to adopt changes, and develop plans to close any gaps
What do you need to succeed?
Subject matter expertise in modern adult learning, with emphasis on financial services, a thorough understanding of Advisor / Management roles Excellent relationship management, analytic, communication and presentation skills

Ability to ensure integration across multiple training programs and projects that will impact common stakeholders
Ability to influence others without position power
Strong project management skills
Works systematically to resolve problems, identify causes, anticipate implications and make informed decisions
Ability to directly address / identify conflict and obstacles, and escalate as appropriate
5 - 10 years of progressively responsible training and development experience
Bachelor’s degree or similar post-secondary accreditation
Adult education certification or designation (e.g. OISE, St. FX University, Institute for Performance and Learning) is preferred

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
