POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Acklands-Grainger (AGI) would like to accelerate its digital marketing growth. As part of this, the Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for boosting ecommerce sales, by driving targeted traffic to the Acklands-Grainger website. This role designs online sales growth strategies to drive online demand and lead generation. This position will actively work alongside cross border partners and be actively involved in digital media planning, execution, customer segment profiles and technology stack design and integration.

The candidate will excel in paid media such as SEM, SEO, programmatic display and affiliate marketing, and have a solid strategic understanding of the of Google, CRM and Adobe suite of products and integration points. The individual is also responsible for identifying digital growth opportunities within AGI's business priorities to drive successful cross-functional campaigns.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SEM

Support strategy and optimization of the Google search program, keyword targeting methodology and evolving retargeting audience through customer match
Execute online strategic priorities to drive revenue through technology and campaign enhancements
Establish monthly cadence with product content and internal search team to do monthly maintenance on supplier/product and mirror internal search key insights
Execute seasonal campaigns and Emergency Response programs on a monthly basis
Build monitoring cadences to better understand competitive activities and trends
SEO/WEBSITE

Lead collaboration with Ecommerce internal search, Grainger and STEP team to further establish ongoing SEO cadence for content optimization
Responsible for analyzing website to determine requirements, perform keyword & technical analysis and research to implement linking strategies for AGI.com.
Support website design and implementation, supporting key company initiatives and objectives. Adopt a test, learn and scale mentality
Champion ongoing reporting to monitor, optimize and drive revenue performance
Strong understanding of Google and other search engine algorithms to keep pace with changes
PROGRAMMATIC

Manage the daily work flow of programmatic campaigns, including campaign development, campaign activation and maintenance, and post-buy recap.
Develop audience strategy and profile target in collaboration with analytics through Data Management Platform integration for accelerated performance e.g DemandBase
TECHNOLOGY

Partner with Ecommerce to maximize the Adobe suite and find intersection points that can be leveraged to generate customer demand in more relevant ways
Collaborate with Grainger’s digital and development teams on tagging and landing page development requirements
Responsible for writing business requirements, as required
Implement digital marketing requirements and QA participation from mid to end development sprint cycles as required
EMAIL STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT

Lead the strategic development and 3 year roadmap to build a best-in-class email marketing program.
Optimize and enhance all Promotional and Transactional email communications, incorporating dynamic content to maximize customer relevancy and conversion.
Lead new behavioural and event-based Triggered email programs.
Manage relationship with 3rd party email service providers to ensure optimal solution and technology design, data integration and program execution.
Track, analyze and provide monthly deep dive analyses and results.
Lead the identification and segmentation of customers for targeted offers and messaging
Ensure adherence to federal marketing and privacy legislation (CASL, CAN-SPAM/FISA, PIPEDA)

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
6+ years’ experience in digital marketing and eCommerce, preferably in a multi-channel B2B sales-oriented environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business /Commerce or equivalent
Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive and successful digital campaigns.
Experience with Adobe Suite – Audience Manager, Target, DTM, Campaign, Analytics and Media Optimizer
Solid experience managing 3rd party email service providers (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Oracle/Responsys etc.).
Strong knowledge in Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
Experience in eCommerce, SEM, SEO, and social media
Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, react with urgency and reprioritize as needed, to ensure all objectives and project deadlines are met
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively across all business functional areas and levels of an organization to attain goals and drive business results.
