Health clinic in Burnaby (Metrotown) needs a full-time office/admin manager. We have chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and kinesiologists.
FRONT RECEPTION DUTIES: Check-in and check-out patients (book follow up appointments), electronically bill insurance, prepare receipts, and collect payments. Answer patient questions as able and/or assist patients in having questions answered by appropriate staff; handle all telephone calls. Assist prospective new patients with information on services offered. Schedule all appointments. Perform end of day balancing of credit cards, cash, and cheques. Other duties as assigned.
MANAGEMENT DUTIES: Maintain a smooth-running and efficient admin team by organizing and overseeing office operations and procedures, handling ongoing projects, providing leadership and guidance to admin team, training new admin staff; and assigning duties to admin team.
Prepare payroll; control various correspondence; maintain regular contact with management team. Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office.
EDUCATION: High school diploma.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 4 years work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when dealing with patients. Ability to work well within a team and willingness to learn are essential.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Software based billing and booking program requires some prior experience with computer software. Must be quick learner. Training provided. Must have proficient keyboarding and typing skills.
