Role Description

Based in Toronto, the Finance Coordinator, Treasury & Capital Markets will report to the Director, Treasury & Capital Markets. As a member of the Treasury group, the successful candidate will play an integral part in the day-to-day coordination and administration, cash management, and back office Treasury functions. The Finance Coordinator will require strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:
Provide primary administrative support to Treasury team members
Assist with coordination of internal and external meetings, conference calls, visitor logistics, arranging for refreshments and working meals as required, etc.
Process invoices, prepare and submit employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations using Excel and PC7
Provide Workday assistance when needed
Manage travel arrangements for team
Provide backup assistance to Finance Executive/Administrative Assistant when required
Assist with planning team and bond marketing events
Organize and monitor team meetings and weekly bank meetings during bond issuance periods
Manage and update team’s various distribution lists
Assist with daily cash management activities including general cash management, short term forecasting, short term investment and commercial paper issuance.
Assist with transaction confirmation, settlement, and record-keeping;
Assist with bank administration activities including opening/closing of bank accounts and analyzing bank fees and balances;
Assist with the issuance of letters of credit and maintain the record for invoicing;
Maintain the records for debt guarantees and liaise with the Accounting group to issue the invoice;
Assist with maintaining the quarterly debt dashboard and weekly market spread reports;
Assist with the compilation and submission of quarterly reports to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors;
Assist with the quarterly debt compliance and due diligence process;
Assist with the preparation of standard weekly, monthly and quarterly treasury reports that effectively and accurately measures the performance of the treasury activities against agreed upon benchmarks;
Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as required.

Education and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a Finance or Treasury environment
Post-secondary education
Ability to effectively partner and liaise with all levels of the business and develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with internal staff, and external contacts
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong work ethic, ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities and adapt to new ideas and constant change
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and individually
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate to internal teams & external stakeholders at varying levels;
Self-starter with the ability to independently start and complete projects and anticipate next steps. Someone who takes initiative to get results; and
Prior experience with Yardi and/or Workday is an asset.
