Pinchin’s Winnipeg office is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support our Geotechnical Engineering Group in Manitoba.

Technical Engineering Duties:
Coordinate and conduct surface and subsurface site investigations, including borehole logging, sampling of soil and rock and geological mapping, file and manage all project-related field notes
Prepare reports related, but not limited to:
Soil and bedrock engineering design parameters
Shallow and deep foundation design
Slope stability analysis
Earth Retention Systems
Excavation, dewatering and shoring
Pavement structure performance investigation and design
Review invoices and provide instructions to the accounting department to generate final invoices in a timely manner
Help administrative staff with accounts receivables as required
Work with senior staff to prepare cost estimates/proposals for potential clients
Business Development/Client Management
Perform direct marketing and developing work for new and existing clients
Participate in Pinchin marketing initiatives
Meet with clients to determine project requirements
University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering or related degree and experience
3-5 years’ experience in a geotechnical engineering role
Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction is considered an asset
Experience with Business Development
A Professional Engineering Designation in the Province of Manitoba or be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as geotechnical engineering software (slope stability, seepage, finite element programs, etc.)
Ability to work closely with our project teams across the company where geotechnical support may be of assistance, such as Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and Building Sciences
Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively, as well as proactively respond to clients on time-sensitive items
Strong organizational skills, an eagerness to learn and take initiative
Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively
Excellent technical writing skills
Excellent leadership and business development skills
A vehicle, valid drivers license and insurance required
Availabiliity to travel
