Job Description

Participate in the technical design, development and other tasks as needed to ensure the delivery of sprint commitments.
Participate in the development of common product components (frameworks, models).
Resolve technical issues from onset to resolution.
Participate in the evolution of the methods and practices of development teams.
Support peers to improve performance.
Work in a cloud computing environment; understand the philosophy and methodology of cloud computing; understand Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Position Responsibilities:
Participate in application solution design and development.
Understand the risks, issues and barriers associated with solutions and follow the recommendations from the solution architects.
Active participation in project deliverables.
Ensure alignment with solution architecture and coding standards.
Work with the team members in implementing solutions.
Participate in the code reviews.

The ideal candidate:
Holds a degree in software engineering.
Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in Java JEE development and Javascript Frameworks.
Systems used: Java, JEE, Gitlab (CI), Spring MVC, Stash/BitBucket, Javascript ( REACT JS, Node, Angular), Redux, Maven, Jenkins, REST, SOAP, Tomcat, Websphere, MySQL, Api Management.
Has demonstrated experience in the development of cloud computing application software (an asset)
Has demonstrated experience using AWS tools and services in connection with application software development. (an asset)
Has experience with Redshift, Python, SAS. (an asset)
Has knowledge of Docker-type containers and experience with automatic scaling features. (an asset)
Has experience with micro services. (an asset)
Enjoys sharing new ideas and learning from others.
Is recognized for his or her proactive approach in proposing the right solutions to address challenges.
Possesses experience in the resolution of technical issues and their source and is capable of communicating issue-resolution plans.
Is familiar with Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban).
Is bilingual.
