What the role is all about:
WinSport’s Food and Beverage team provides world class services for hundreds of guests, athletes, businesses, and various events, on and offsite.

You bring a high level of customer service as a Food & Beverage Server, and you’re determined to build rapport with customers of all ages that you greet on a daily basis.

As a Catering Server, you will be reporting to the Manager, Catering, while serving food and beverage to patrons in the designated banquet and event locations in accordance with accepted routines, to ensure satisfaction of our clients at Canada Olympic Park.

Responsibilities

Set, clear and wait on tables.
Polish silverware, make coffee and other beverages as required
Perform housekeeping tasks appropriate to the catering facilities, notes and reports any property damage or unsafe working conditions
Pick up supplies i.e., linen, and cream from main kitchen when required
Strong ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to follow directions and provide excellent customer service to WinSport clients
Other duties as required, such as supporting the set-up and operation of onsite WinSport catering events.
Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers and WinSport guests & clients
Be mindful of all safety hazards/concerns within the work environment and ensure all safety issues are reported to the appropriate individuals
Review all OH & S notices/meeting minutes as they are distributed or posted on OH & S boards located within each department

Qualifications

ProServe Certification
Previous experience as a server (asset)
Good organizational skills and efficiency
Strong verbal communication skills when dealing with guests and staff
Strong display of professionalism at all times
Possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver License
Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs
Must be 18 years or older

Work Conditions:
Evening and weekend work is required
Prolonged standing or walking
Manual dexterity
