Job Description:
This role focuses on the preparation and presentation of both meats and seafood for sale with efficient and precise packaging of items. This is also a very service-orientated position providing courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and legendary service to customers and fellow team members.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Portion and wrap meat and seafood products based on customer orders
- Prepare different cuts of meat for the display cases
- Ensure accurate retail pricing and signage.
- Superior knowledge of primal cuts.
- Passion for fresh foods.
- Customer service orientated, and likes to create great experiences.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with preparing different cuts of different types of meat for retail
- Math skills
- Familiar with digi scale operation considered an asset
- Customer Service experience required
- Food Safety Mini Course certification is preferred
- WHIMIS Certification is preferred
- Meat department experience in a retail setting OR
Charcuterie/Meat Cutting Certification
