About the Position
Maropost is looking for a user centric UX Researcher to join our Innovation Centre in our Global Headquarters, located in downtown Toronto. This UX Researcher will report into our Manager, User Experience, and help us revolutionize our world-class customer engagement product. We're looking for analytical researcher who is ready to help us achieve new heights, and has a passion for using research based strategy for delivering cutting edge products, someone who wants to work with a dynamic, collaborative team.
Conduct research to support UX designers and the product team with qualitative and quantitative data on user behavior, expectations, and insights
Take ownership of Maropost research processes and practices including management of Product Advisory Council meeting cadences, focus groups and research pool contacts
Develop user personas and segment our users
Align research to Marketing Buyer Oriented vs. User Oriented as we shift to an increasing Self Provision / Self Service Model
Ensure design solutions help achieve product, marketing and business goals based on research and user expectations
Organize client site visits and actively engage with Maropost users to validate ideas and solutions proposed by the Design and Product teams
Contribute to the usability testing process (in-person and online) from developing user recruitment briefs through to test moderation, analysis, and report writing
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and recommendations for improvements, and clearly communicate key learnings with business stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Apply knowledge in human factors, rapid ethnography and the user-centered design process to product design
Facilitate strategic and customer-centric decision making
Ensure UX Design and Product teams align their directions with Maropost's business plan and key strategic initiatives
What You'll Need to Bring to Maropost
7+ years working tenure
2+ years experience conducting end-to-end user research studies
Preference for bachelor's or master's degree (HCI, experimental or cognitive psych, etc.) with applied research in human behavior
Experience with creation of visual aids such as wireframes, user flows, process flows and site maps, to plan, present, and communicate Research findings
Strong portfolio or documentation of UX research work
Self-motivated and service-oriented, a self-starter
Multi-tasker, has positive energy and attitude to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Creative, technical and analytical skills; able to assess alternatives, risks and benefits; attention to detail
Teamwork; able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical partners or team members)
Experience in SaaS, Start-up company preferred
