Vancouver Island Psychological Services is a busy and growing practice of psychologists in Victoria. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Client Intake Coordinator.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) that involves gathering information from prospective clients and/or referral sources (most often via telephone or e-mail). This information is then used to place clients with an appropriate psychologist within the practice. In addition, the position involves maintaining a client database, scheduling appointments, managing the practice’s waitlist, and completing other administrative tasks as directed by the clinic directors and/or office supervisor.
The successful candidate will be a person who is able to work efficiency and who is highly organized. S/he will exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and will work well both independently and in a team environment. S(he) will be proficient in Microsoft Office and will have the basic computer skills needed to become proficient in our practice management software.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s degree and/or applicable work experience (for example, experience in a medical/healthcare office). A criminal record check is required.
