Rate of Pay: Salary, Commensurate with experience and qualifications/hr
Shift Schedule: 5/2

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Lead the planning and manage design work required for the development and production of the underground mine. Accountable for the timely delivery of designs and their accuracy within planning.
Preparing short/medium term schedules that aim to meet or exceed site objectives and support the long-term mining plan. Identify contingency plans to overcome shortfalls in production and development. Ensure plan is appropriate for equipment and manpower levels, and that it does not exceed the ventilation or ore movement system constraints.
Examines existing designs to consider enhancements and improve mining accessibility.
Coordinate with mine operations on a daily basis to ensure plan is being adhered to and to minimize disruptions. Complete regular variance reports and stope status reports.
Coordinating with the maintenance and operations planning groups to optimize the mining plan, ensure sufficient mill feed and minimize disruptions.
Provide regular field supervision for planning department.
Manage some human resource matters (vacations, absenteeism, quality and quantity of work, etc).

Qualifications:
B.Sc / B.Tech Degree in Mining Engineering or Qualifications
Minimum of 5 year’s relevant experience in an operating mine
Experience in underground Hard Rock Mining Environment preferred
Experience in underground surveying, planning and/or mining an asset.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
