The Role
The selected individual will be presented with exciting growth opportunities by playing a critical role in providing solutions to Canada’s complex environmental challenges. You will work on mission critical work assisting our clients from multiple resource sectors such as forestry, oil, gas, and utility, as well as government agencies and other stakeholders in the realm of forest carbon resources. Duties may include forest carbon analysis, project management, gathering business requirements of customers, supporting strategic business development, field validation and various other analytical tasks with an environmental and resource focus.
The duties of the position will require you to be in a technical or leadership role managing projects depending upon your specific experience. Project types may include:
- Forest carbon inventory design & analysis
- Carbon offset feasibility assessment
- Life cycle inventory & assessments
Required Skills and Experience:

- 5+ years’ experience working in the natural resources sector
- 2+ years’ experience related to forest carbon analysis, carbon offset standards and/or protocols
- Demonstrated experience working with CBM-CFS3 and spatial optimization tools (e.g. Remsoft’s Woodstock and Spatial Planning Systems’ Patchworks)
- Strong background in statistical analysis would be considered an asset
Academic Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in forestry, agriculture, environmental science, ecology, environmental planning or related field
- A graduate degree in forestry, agriculture, environmental science, ecology, environmental planning or related would be considered an asset, but not mandatory
- Eligible to become a Registered Professional (e.g. EP, RPF, P.Bio)
