Your typical day as a Scrum Master will include acting as a software lead, guiding scrum teams within a Scaled Agile Framework SAFe 4.5. Responsible for designing and delivering frontend and backend applications, you will be providing guidance in design and code to team members while taking a leadership position in the development and delivery of the software capabilities , while also working to remove impediments for your team as they happen.
Working as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team that have adopted an Agile framework, you will lead Scrum events, take part in Sprint reviews and work collaboratively with our customer.
As a software team lead, you will:
Lead an Agile Scrum Team
Design and deliver frontend and backend applications
Provide guidance both for design and code to team members
Be responsible for the development and delivery of software capabilities
5+ years of experience in software development.
5+ years of experience using Object-Oriented languages such as C++, C#.
Demonstrated knowledge and use of software design and architectural patterns.
Experience designing and implementing interfaces.
The core competencies for this role are:
Experience with communication middleware and protocols (pub/sub, message queues, TCP/IP, REST, etc.).
Experience with software design tools such as Enterprise Architect.
Experience developing both Windows and Web Applications.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Git, Team Foundation Server, ClearCase, etc.
The following skills are an asset:
Database development experience, especially SQL Server, is an asset.
Experience developing Android applications is an asset.
Experience with the ESRI Android and .NET SDKs is an asset.
Experience with DNDAF is an asset.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Applied Science or related technical/scientific degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
