Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager, Tenant will focus on overseeing and leading all aspects related to the field projects to ensure all milestones are completed within the established budget and timelines. The role will closely work with in-house and external personnel to ensure feasibility and costing of projects are completed efficiently, on-time and are profitable for the organization. This includes delegating responsibilities to the appropriate staff and reviewing and providing appropriate work direction as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects with a budget scope of up to 2 million
Monitor scheduled events, project milestones and submission of required information
Manage field labour capacity through the master schedule to ensure no excess overhead occurs
develop and manage detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates and resource plans in conjunction with project members
Review reports, invoices and payments, project documents, correspondence, development information and leases
Schedule activities for completion of projects and works on a day-to-day basis to handle unexpected requests and deadlines
Work with the consultants to negotiate credits and/or extras for revised scope of work and to assist with implementing a value engineering process when necessary.
Attend all required site meetings, process change notices, communicate changes, work with all applicable parties (engineers, client, consultants, internal team) to ensure the project is always on-track and on-budget
Establish key project metrics and take appropriate action to manage accordingly
Establish and manage positive relationships will all key internal and external stakeholders
Provide reporting cost-analysis and work with the scheduling and finance teams as required
Full accountability for the project financial scope
Manage all documentation pertaining to the project
Identify and create/source a resolution for project roadblocks
Review all updated schematics, blueprints, drawings and collaborate to appropriate staff
Prepare Monthly Project Status Reports
Support Internal Audit Processes
5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager
Educational background in Project Management or equivalent
PMP accreditation would be considered an asset.
Previous experience with Accubid Change Order is required
Technical background expertise in scheduling and costing utilizing an ERP or project Management software
Proven track record for productivity, profitability and cost analysis
Previous management experience is required
Excellent Communication and leadership skills to provide clear direction
Excellent attention to detail, time management and change management
