We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and skilled Senior Event Producer to join our Corporate Events team; reporting into the Director of Corporate Events.
This role is responsible for day to day management, design and implementation of a diverse portfolio of events for Rogers and Rogers’ brands. A successful candidate will bring 10 plus years of solid technical production and event management experience with a passion for creating flawless events.
The responsibility of this role is to produce, with minimal supervision, thought-provoking and impactful events that are tied to objectives and KPIs. As the Corporate Events team is responsible for producing hundreds of events each year, this role requires the ability to manage multiple events concurrently, both in planning and execution stages.
This position requires the demonstration of thoughtful leadership combined with exemplary team player behaviours.
What you will be doing:
Manage and execute a diverse portfolio of internal events with excellence, working with a variety of vendors, suppliers, venues and agency partners and colleagues as required. The portfolio will include conferences (local and out of town), awards shows, galas, meetings, road shows, and other custom events.
Manage all aspects of event production to meet/exceed the business objectives and financial targets:
Event production including: A/V, staging and set design
Stage and technical production management
Event logistics including venue, catering, travel and transportation
Venue and location sourcing, contract negotiation
Budget creation / management
Event design, including layout, flow and event decor
Develop agenda and event flow
Create run of show as required
Define the customer journey for all event touch points
Stage and technical production management
Collaborate with show producer as required
Produce all required event materials and documentation (event bibles, budgets, work-back schedules, etc.)
Determine and hire support staff as required (approval required)
Post event review and analysis reporting
Adhere to all defined Rogers and Corporate Events team procedures, including accounting, procurement and HR driven requirements
Create and maintain learning materials as part of a collaborative Corporate Events team learning program
Work collaboratively with the event stakeholder(s) to understand and facilitate the event brief and objectives
Work collegially with key company interlocks including, Creative Services, Business Units, Sales and other internal stakeholders
Foster productive and collaborative relationships with strategic partners and other Rogers business units as opportunities permit – understand each line of business and their key objectives
Understand the role content plays before, during and after an event contributing to an effective content strategy when required
Demonstrate leadership working directly with junior team members to share insights and key learnings
What you have:
10+ years of technical production, event management and experiential marketing experience
Experience leading teams considered an asset
Agency experience strongly preferred and considered an asset
Strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills
Superior project management skills and detail orientation and proven ability to manage competing projects and prioritize accordingly
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work successfully with various organizational levels, whether that be with colleagues, senior executives, customers or partners
Innovative self-starter with a demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in standard suite of Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc). Experience with salesforce.com considered an asset
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Available to work during normal business hours and on evenings / weekends as required for event execution
Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
Ability to travel
Bachelor's degree in events, marketing, communications or related field
