Are you an engineering professional with a passion for building, gas and plumbing code compliance? In this role, you will support the Quality Assurance QMP team with administering the corporate building, gas and plumbing quality management plan. You will be expected to provide technical support, expertise and interpretations on the building, gas and plumbing codes while interfacing with a variety of teams company-wide. Your expertise with the codes, combined with proactive approach will be critical in ensuring the Quality Management Plan (QMP) is adhered to in an effective manner.
Work closely with various project teams across all divisions to ensure the building, gas and plumbing QMP implementation procedure is being adhered to
Manage QMP files from beginning to end to ensure compliance with the QMP and maintain effective communication with project teams to ensure relevant work is logged accurately and files are closed in a timely manner
Provide support and expertise to project teams in the form of building, gas and plumbing code guidance and interpretation. Perform preliminary code analysis to proactively ensure compliance and participate in delivering training sessions as needed.
Effectively manage large amounts of data and documentation, including the flow of documents between Canadian Natural and accredited agencies, as well as internal recordkeeping of QMP compliance documents
Facilitate the development of alternative solutions or code variances to support project teams where required
Resolve day-to-day QMP issues as they arise and report issues to QMP Manager and QMP team. Actively seek opportunities to improve effectiveness of the QMP implementation procedure and processes.

Skills & Qualifications:
Post-secondary education related to civil engineering, buildings, architecture, mechanical systems, piping or equipment is required with registration with APEGA as a professional engineer or eligibility for registration
5+ years of experience in an oil and gas environment or construction industry with experience using building and/or gas codes is required
Strong analytical abilities, decision making skills, attention to detail and communication skills, both verbal and written
