The Total Reward Analyst supports the planning, implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs for select client groups.
Activity A: Compensation
Research and compile market data from various sources.
Participate in and complete external compensation market surveys ensuring integrity of submissions; analyze results.
Forecast and estimate costs for program changes and wage/performance-based increases.
Administer the annual compensation review process for select client groups.
Assist in the development of wage grids and ranges
Research compensation programs for new contracts/business lines and provide preliminary recommendations.
Assist with the analysis and recommendation of salaries for new hires and internal transfers.
Activity B: Benefits and Pension
Perform analysis and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of rates, deductions and membership in benefits plans.
Maintain accurate employee benefit records including contributions and deductions related to pension and benefits plans.
Respond to group benefit and pension plan inquiries from employees and benefit providers.
Generate standard and custom benefit and pension reports for management and carriers; prepare and coordinate annual government pension filings and PARs.
Conduct and monitor group benefit and pension eligibility reviews annually, monthly and semi-monthly. Enroll, terminate and change status of members in the group benefit and pension plans according to policy.
Research, investigate and communicate with employees regarding plan issues that arise from time to time including those that arise as a result of benefit eligibility reviews.
Determine group benefit continuation or cancellation for employees on a leave of absence according to LOA guidelines.
Activity C: Special Projects
Participate in various Total Rewards/HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Post-secondary degree in Human Resource Management with two to three years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
Proven analytical and mathematical ability
Highly detail-oriented and accuracy focused
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced computer skills - expert Excel skills, proficient Word and PowerPoint skills and knowledge of HRIS applications
