POSITION: Graphic Designer

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing


Parenting is hard, and everyone wants the best for their children. That’s where we come in! At Snuggle Bugz, we look to instill confidence in parents navigating the early stages of Parenthood. Currently we are missing a critical link (aka YOU) and seeking a candidate armed with passion and the ability to jump in and create high quality visuals for our marketing team.

Snuggle Bugz is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Brand Management, the successful candidate will create high quality visuals and provide design and production support to the marketing team. We are looking for someone who is ready to tackle any design challenge and wants to help us develop and promote our brand using the latest in design tactics. The Graphic Designer will be required to create compelling new concepts as well as work within existing templates with a high degree of accuracy to produce a wide variety of materials that reflect brand guidelines.


  • Conceptualize, plan and design a variety of marketing and sales support materials including but not limited to e-mail marketing, social media, motion graphics, traditional print media, flyers and catalogues, event collateral, graphic support for bloggers and web/mobile development
  • Provide creative and innovative design solutions using both written and visual elements in support of marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing departments and support campaigns with design solutions
  • Create graphics and design layouts for the Snuggle Bugz website, emails, print ads, content marketing, and social media accounts
  • Learn from industry-leading designers, how to apply design theory to business initiatives and create commercially-viable work
  • Incorporate UI/UX best practices in website design and layout, and adapt designs for mobile formats
  • Ability to produce print ready production artwork to specifications provided (including prepping and shipping files for external printing)
  • Liaise with print product suppliers as required
  • Continually build a knowledge base of current trends and best in class tactics
  • Keep abreast of competitor and industry-leading creative
  • Adapt content for use across a variety of web/print needs
  • Produce simple motion graphics animation for interactive and web use
  • Complete assigned tasks throughout all stages of the design and production process in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively on ideas
  • Present ideas (written, verbally and visually) to peers and management

Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of your employment


  • Completion of a diploma/degree in Web or Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising, Marketing Communications or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Adobe Creative Suites: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook, strong PowerPoint skills are essential
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies that apply to web design, such as HTML
  • Samples of latest portfolio pieces is required


  • Illustration skills an asset
  • Marketing experience an asset
  • A good eye for page layout and typesetting
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills essential
  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Strong communication/organization skills
  • Sharp attention to detail (copy, grammar, layout composition, images, colour etc.)
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced multi-project environment
  • Receptive to creative direction and adapt to a multitude of changes
