Reporting to the Manager, Radiology Support Services, the incumbent is responsible for the effective, efficient provision of digital imaging support to the Adult Diagnostic Imaging Department including: acting as counter and viewing room receptionists; conducting the weekday retrieval of film folders & digital images for scheduled and unscheduled patient appointments. Maintain and archive documents, hard copy images and digital studies as required.
Previous related experience required.
Previous experience using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and EPR experience preferred.
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
Qualifications and Skills
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Access) required.
Typing 50 wpm.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Some lifting of heavy file folders.
High volume area with frequent interruptions.
