Position Summary:
The Learning & Development Coordinator will contribute to the success of QHR by providing support to QHR’s corporate training strategy and initiatives. Our Learning Management System (LMS), Quest, is how we provide an engaging eLearning experience to all QHR-ites. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual to help us make sure that Quest is providing the best eLearning experience possible to all staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage and take ownership of Quest administration, including adding, removing and editing staff members in the LMS
  • Create and communicate training reports from Quest
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support for Quest as required (e.g. password resets, etc.)
  • Collaborate with employees throughout the organization on training and reporting needs
  • Provide regular company-wide updates on L&D initiatives
  • Facilitate and track annual training content review
  • Manage training media assets for easy access (e.g. eLearning courses, images, videos)
  • Manage and track new course requests
  • Assist in the creation of course content, training handouts and other learning resources as needed
  • Support policy-related training creation in Quest by assisting in the planning, review, creation and uploading of eLearning content
  • Provide administrative support to the Learning & Development (L&D) department as needed
  • Contribute to the learning culture at QHR by promoting and supporting lifelong learning
  • Exemplify and foster a collaborative ‘Blue Culture’ philosophy throughout QHR
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
Additional Duties and Expectations:
  • Promote QHR’s “Blue Culture” framework to foster a collaborative, positive and efficient workplace,
  • Contribute to the organization’s positive image both internally and externally,
  • Perform other duties consistent with the position, as reasonably directed by your manager.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in relevant field (Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Distant Education, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Related work experience in corporate training, learning & development, facilitation, or instructional design would be a strong asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Fundamental knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Litmos, Cornerstone or other) and course writing/creation
  • Knowledge of Accuro EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software would be a strong asset
  • Robust relationship management and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Reputation for having a positive, solution-oriented attitude and approach to challenges
  • Ability to collaborate well with others throughout the organization, as well as work independently
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of a group – facilitation or training experience would be an asset
Compensation and Logistics:
  • Full time, permanent
  • Travel may be required to fulfill the duties of this role
