Job Posting: Occupational Therapist – part time

Raincoast is seeking a competent and motivated occupational therapist to join our health team!

The successful candidate will join a team of professional and devoted staff comprising occupational therapists, psychologists, kinesiologists, and rehabilitation workers. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, they will deliver clinical excellence in the following areas:

  • Provide clinical assessments;
  • Recommend goals and interventions;
  • Create Individualized Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs) for longer term clients;
  • Monitor the installation and use of adaptive equipment and home modifications;
  • Manage rehab workers including frequent supervision and QA;
  • Write and submit reports on time; and,
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as added/deleted at our discretion.

This role requires a high level of independence and autonomy. Our OTs are critically important members of our management team so attention to the highest standards of quality are expected. We provide full technological and administrative support.

Qualifications:

  • MOT or equivalent.
  • Experience working with mental health.
  • Member in good standing with COTBC.
  • Access to a vehicle and possession of a valid BC driver’s license.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid Criminal Record Check
  • Exceptional interpersonal and clinical skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and lead.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
