Talent Acquisition Specialist - Permanent Full-time
Position is based out of our Toronto head office at Yonge and Eglinton.
In this role you will be responsible for on-boarding of new staff including recruitment, selection, and orientation. You will contribute to human resources department initiatives to support VHA’s goals and objectives. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Development, you will work closely with the HR team and key stakeholders, and will role model VHA’s organizational values.
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED :
Degree and/or certificate in Human Resources.
Human Resources experience in sourcing, recruitment and selection—ideally 2 years of related experience.
Active participation in the Human Resources Professional Association development program preferred.
Experience in HR administration.
Excellent interviewing, communication and presentation skills.
Solid understanding of key HR concepts and how they apply to the workplace.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve.
Demonstrated customer service orientation.
Knowledge and practical experience with employment legislation .
Experience in a unionized environment and knowledge of labour relations an asset.
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated creativity and innovation in identifying unique methods for recruiting and selecting.
Good organizational, administrative and self-management abilities.
Strong computer skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook .
Ability to participate and work as a flexible team member.
Ability to integrate the use of technology to streamline work activities.
Demonstrated efforts to continuously develop and upgrade skills.
