The Business Development Manager’s priority is to assist the BRP Marine Group to acquire new customers (dealers) and sell additional products or services to existing ones; this means the role is a crucial one for the BRP Marine Group business plan with the ambition to expand, transition or diversify its network footprint.


The Business Development Manager will lead Network Optimization strategy through effective prospecting, recruiting and dealer on-boarding.
Implementing dealer development-related initiatives identified in the BRP Marine Group’s yearly objectives.
Improve customer service experience with targeted dealers through a diagnostic study and action plan of improving and expanding the right dealer network.
Manage retail environment improvement projects with selected dealers.


In multi-line environments, fuel share of wallet growth by establishing and implementing dealer-specific plans and increasing dealer engagement and generating volume upside.
Collaborate and communicate closely with Regional Sales Directors, District Sales Managers, OEM Sales Team as well as other critical internal functions, to define and effectively execute regional tactics that achieve business objectives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and evolve network training curriculums including, but not limited to, BRPTI training and Dealer Certification program.
Elevate network competencies and continually up-skill the dealer network, demonstrating increased dealer mindshare and training completion year over year.
For the region, manage network training tours, boat show events, and OEM boat meetings leveraging them as a tool to increase engagement.


Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in sales or sales support, preferably in the marine engine, powersports, or boating industries.
Self-starter, being able to plan and work the day with minimal input from management team.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate extensive understanding of dealership operations as well as strong financial management skills.
Ability to collaborate, work effectively and lead a variety of individuals in team settings.
Tolerance to ambiguity and a strong level of flexibility/adaptability.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Excellent analytical, consultative, interpersonal, organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills.

This position is based in Canada. The candidate selected must reside in the assigned region.
