About the Company:

Located off the western tip of the Island of Montreal, Wayside Inspection Devices Inc. (WID) designs and manufactures sophisticated laser-based machine vision system for trackside monitoring of railway equipment. In operation since 1996, WID is a well-established supplier with a solid reputation for producing innovative and reliable systems. The company’s TBOGI wayside monitoring systems are in use by major railways on four continents.

We are currently looking for a full stack web developer to lead the advancement of our web applications and related backend infrastructure. Our web applications are customer-facing, accessed round the clock, and are deployed on servers across the world. You will be responsible for updating web applications for new use cases, maintaining the infrastructure to ensure uptime and responsiveness, as well as developing new products. You will also be working closely with our engineering team to integrate new features for our remote sensors.

Job Description:

  • Develop TBOGI-DB database products.
  • Create new reporting tools to help customers interpret captured data.
  • Create validation platforms for the product line.
  • Optimize compute, storage, and network infrastructure for global content delivery.
  • Participate in on-site support and new product installations.
  • Work with customers, consultants, and suppliers


  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Background in database management & Microsoft SQL.
  • JavaScript /CSS/HTML.
  • Driver's license and own transportation.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel to the USA and other international destinations.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.


  • Knowledge and experience in ASP .NET.
  • Network Engineering courses.
  • Demonstrates a structured work ethic to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Has worked in a collaborative software setting.
  • Has worked or managed large software projects and knows best practices and pitfalls of network architecture for web and mobile applications
  • Knowledge of Version Control and Issue Tracking
