WHY JOIN THE TEAM?

The role of the Senior Solution Architect is to be the key Solution architect for the business areas of Digital and Global Retail & Service. It involves supporting other Solution architects for these business areas and act as a solution architect on projects. Tasks like, understand business requirements for a project and design a technology solution that will meet the requirements in the 4 following areas (Business, Application, Information and Technology), within the context of the Enterprise Architecture vision and actual BRP Context.
Considering non functional requirements including security, performance, etc… The Solution Architect will be assigned to a few projects in parallel and will be a part of the project team for the duration of the project, with the accountability for the design of the solution. Outside of project work, the Solution Architect will collaborate with the Enterprise architecture team, Project Management Office team to share best practices and ensure alignment in terms of technology strategy for his respective business areas. We’re using an enterprise
architecture tool to document architecture artefacts.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Solution Architect for Digital and GR&S business areas
Assess the business requirements for an initiative or a problem
Gather Non-Functional Requirements
Pre-select and compare potential technical solutions including software selection when needed
Provide an architectural conception of the solution regarding Business, Application, Information and Technology domains via the solution architecture design document
Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
Support the project team during the specifications and design phase
Partner with the organisation to understand organisational and departmental strategy and agree on information systems solutions to meet the needs.
Investigate information systems that might benefit BRP.
Document the solution in the enterprise architecture tool using the archimate language
Develop and maintain a model of BRP’s current and future Application Architecture in the EA tool.
Develop and maintain a model of BRP’s current and future digital architecture and design a structure that is stable, resilient, agile and performant.
Lead the organisation in exploiting technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organisational change and support business process design.
Understand and support to software architecture design and support development team in developing solutions
Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
Minimum of ten years of experience in IT, with at least five years in information system design
In-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions, with specialization in one core enterprise systems area (e.g. SAP, Salesforce.com, marketing & web solutions)
Hands-on experience implementing CRM, mobile applications, IoT, Web sites (contents and forms) and marketing automation tools.
Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing with business executives and colleagues is key
Ideally, formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF with Archimate) or formal qualifications in technology.
Bilingualism (French & English)
Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisation strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy
Experience in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of with working with executive stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organisational benefits
Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills ability to develop solution architecture designs
Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or the equivalent
Working knowledge of systems like Salesforce.com, Adobe AEM and the marketing suite
Working knowledge of systems like mobile application and IoT
