Consider joining the City of Edmonton as a Word Data Processing Clerk! We are looking for an independent and self motivated individual with excellent data entry skills to support Facilities Maintenance Services. Accuracy and an aptitude for numerical detail are key to success in this position as you will be responsible for accurately entering data information from various sources into key systems for the Branch and Section.

Main responsibilities include:
Spend the majority of your time accurately creating purchase orders using SAP and ensuring compliance with procurement policies
Process invoices for payment ensuring information is correct and complete before sending to Accounts Payable
Audit time entry daily for approximately 30 - 50 employees in CATS
Create work orders in SAP Plant Maintenance
Review, accept, reject and alter odometer readings as required into SAP for take home permit users
Liaise with supervisors, foremen and contract inspectors to assist with work order flow and prioritize requests
Respond in a professional manner with Accounts Payable regarding invoice payment errors and corrections
Audit VISA receipts for appropriate information and ensure it follows corporate directives before data entry
Organize, initiate, and review daily and weekly output reports for accuracy and corrections in Centre Suite (VISA) and Dolphin
Maintain an accurate filing system for SAP data, orders, VISA reports and Payroll reports
Resolve the majority of inquiries independently with only major issues reported to the supervisors
File and other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
:
Grade 12 including business subjects with emphasis on general office practices or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
2 years of diversified and varied office experience including data entry, typing, general office procedures and responding to inquiries
High degree of accuracy for entering, updating and correcting databases
Demonstrated ability to self manage your workload and work independently
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work alongside a variety of personalities
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and multitask while dealing with various clients in a professional manner
Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suites
Working knowledge of Centre Suite (VISA), SAP, Dolphin and CATS are considered to be assets
Excellent oral, writing and communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
High degree of accuracy for entering, updating and correcting databases
Occasional travel to the south Facility Maintenance Shop is required

Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton

Salary: $23.664 - $29.385 (Hourly); $ 41,690.050 - $51,769.020 (Annually)
