Proactive customer service to identify and resolve customer requirements
Coordinate with local airlines, ocean carriers and trucking firms to procure scheduling and rates, as well as administration of both
Coordination with international agent network to facilitate foreign pick-up and delivery of shipments as well as customs clearance
Routing of shipments and preparation of pre-alert documents
Booking of all shipments with airlines, steam ship companies and trucking firms
Coordinates pick-up and delivery shipments with shipper/consignee
Working with computerized systems to input, monitor/update and reconcile shipments
Oversee consolidation and assembly of shipments at gateway
Coordinates palletizing, crating etc, for shipment transport
Document preparation specific to a given shipment, including but not limited to MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoice and certificate of origin
Process letters of credit where required
Working closely with Sales and Operations to ensure customer satisfaction
Working knowledge of CBSA LVS procedures, process and operations of a bonded facility
Excellent administration skills: accurate, with attention to detail.
Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel & Word is mandatory
Excellent customer service skills and customer focus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingualism is an asset to communicate fluently (both verbal and written) in French
Ability to multi task, accustomed to working with minimal supervision, confident and conscientious
Excellent in both International and Cross Border import and export procedures
Knowledge of Air/Ocean Imports documentation and procedures
Experience in multiple freight forwarding product offerings
Established contacts with airlines and ocean carriers for booking and preferred rates
Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding
Experience in cutting MAWB, HAWB, and Ground Bills of Lading
Experience in customs documentation preparation and working knowledge of INCO terms
