Youth Addiction Worker ~ Day Treatment Program

Ray of Hope is currently seeking a Full-Time Youth Addiction Worker to join our Day Treatment team within our Youth Addiction Services Program to start as soon as possible for a temporary assignment.

The Youth Addiction Worker works directly with male and female youth in the day treatment program, providing counselling and psychotherapy to participants in the context of a therapeutic community milieu. The successful candidate will also provide leadership to life skills training, and plans & participates in recreational, community service and some educational activities. He or she will participate in treatment planning in conjunction with the program Case Manager and the Program Director.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor degree or 3 year college diploma in a field relevant to psychotherapy
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in providing treatment to individuals (youth preferred) related to addiction and/or trauma or moderate mental health challenges
Certifications: Standard First Aid and CPR Level C and crisis intervention training
Member in good standing of an appropriate regulatory body that provides access to the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy (i.e. CRPO, OCSWSSW, etc)
Demonstrated competency in problem solving, decision making, adaptability, communication, planning and organizing, team work, developing others, conflict management, critical thinking and psychotherapy
Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Requirements:
Police Records Check, including a screening with the vulnerable sector.
Medical Form
Valid ā€œGā€ Class Driver's licence
Ministry of Transportation 3-Year Driving Record
