Pharmacist, Compliance Pack Shared Service (CPAK)
Location: Burnaby, BC
CPAK is a division of Shoppers that prepares the medication packs that are distributed at the stores to patients. This centralized production of these packs enables the pharmacist and team at Shoppers Drug Mart locations to spend their time focusing on what is important – the patient! Working with the team, you will be responsible to ensure that the prepared CPAKs are accurate and prepared in a timely manner. We pride ourselves in having awesome team spirit!

Our Pharmacy team at our Central office is drives the strategy and service planning for our store pharmacies, to ensure our patients get the best and most innovative services to help them with their healthcare needs.

We are hiring a Pharmacist, Compliance Pack Shared Service. Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager, CPAK, the incumbent will be responsible to ensure that the prepared CPAKs are accurate and prepared in a timely manner.
What you will do:
Conduct product verification on all CPAKs prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery
Manage facility in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
Provide strong effective leadership to a team of Pharmacy Assistants and Registered Pharmacy Technicians
Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational/performance goals for the site and aid in development of organizational talent
Positively communicate business processes, vision and strategy to all employees
Assist in the development, implementation and execution of new projects and/or programs
Perform Quality Assurance to meet business needs
Operate and maintain the Synmed® Automated Dispensing equipment used to generate and produce weekly compliance packs for SDM stores
Ensure that the Synmed® machines have the correct and necessary supply of medication within the dispensing unit to prepare the compliance packs
Clean and maintain the Synmed® equipment when necessary to ensure optimal performance
Ensure proper storage, handling, disposal of drugs and return to stock procedure in accordance with SOPs
Inventory control and management using MMS
Receiving orders in a timely manner
What you will need:
A minimum of 1-2 year of continuous work experience as a Pharmacist in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital or Retail)
Experience with high volume filling environments an asset
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Attention to detail
Team player and leadership skills
Must be able to complete work with minimum supervision
