This Crude Oil Supply & Logistics Analyst / Scheduling position will have a variety of analytical and scheduling responsibilities that support Marathon’s crude supply organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting trading activities by analyzing both short term and long term fundamentals of the Canadian crude oil market. The role also include scheduling crude oil into the Marathon Petroleum 16 Refining system. The applicant should be organized, self-motivated, team oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. This position is in Calgary, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain trading support tools
Effectively recognize and communicate market trends and anticipated changes to both trading and scheduling
Maintain strong working relationships with third party business partners
Nominate crude oil pipeline and waterborne movements to support refinery demand
Monitor inventories as well as shipping schedules on a daily basis to ensure that supply is balanced and on plan
Develop scheduling strategies that optimally supply the Marathon refining system
Work with internal and external business partners to quickly execute necessary scheduling changes due to operating constraints, unplanned events, and changes in market fundamentals
