About the Role:
In the Outbound Operations Supervisor role, you will be overseeing the day to day picking, packing, and shipping operations of our facility, providing support to both the staff and senior leadership as needed. You will be responsible for ensuring all of our outbound shipments leave our facility on time, as well as investigating and resolving any roadblocks in that process. You will also be providing leadership and support to the staff, including job training, coaching, and performance reviews. In short, you will be the cog that keeps all the other wheels moving!

Lead and support the outbound shipping team to ensure all orders ship out by their due date
Ensure cutoff times with our shipping carriers are met
Provide direction to the Operations Team Leads on both a daily and weekly basis
Keep outbound shipping team updated on any changes to processes or rules, and provide relevant support and coaching in these areas as needed
Record and track performance issues as they arise from team members, escalating to the Warehouse Operations Manager where appropriate
Provide regular feedback to the outbound shipping team on individual performance, including administering performance based rewards as appropriate
Assist with issues escalated from the Operations Team Leads as needed (technical issues, personnel issues, inventory issues)
Work cross-functionally with other teams to coordinate larger scale projects
Arrange cross training of outbound shipping team staff where appropriate to assist in other departments
Facilitate orders being expedited if they are available to ship significantly earlier than anticipated
Proactively work towards solving issues (and potential issues) related to outbound shipping as they arise and are flagged
Work with our technical support team as needed to help troubleshoot performance issues and service outages
Additional duties as assigned

1-2 years experience in an outbound/shipping role
Knowledge of ERP/WMS software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiar and comfortable with managing retail seasonality
