Berwick Qualicum Beach-

Office Team Leader

Full-Time Benefited position – 37.5 hrs/week Management Position

Hours of Work: Sunday- Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm

Duties:

Responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational

effectiveness and efficiency. This includes providing administrative support to the General Manager and various departments. Responsible for reception and switchboard duties and supervision of office and/or concierge staff. Maintains resident/staff files, processes resident move in/out documentation and maintains the resident billing system. Manages all resident, staff and company information in a confidential manner and in accordance with the freedom of information and protection of privacy act. Rotational Manager on call responsibility.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, tact, diplomacy and good judgment
  • Patient and respectful to others
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to meet tight deadlines with constant interruptions
  • Professional, confidential and strong time management skills
  • Have a good understanding of computers and ability/willingness to learn multiple specialized computer programs

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Excellent word processing, database, spreadsheet and data entry skills
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office programs, Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Typing speed of 50 WPM
  • Experience with financial transactions, petty cash, recording and balancing etc
  • Valid Emergency Level 1 First Aid certificate
  • CPR Level B or C
  • WHMIS

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years related experience in a supervisory office administrative position
  • Experience dealing with seniors would be an asset
  • Related experience in a customer service based position including dealing with the general public

Personal Competencies:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to providing the highest quality of customer service
  • Self driven individual who will work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining focus and staying on task
  • Strong computer literacy skills
